- Summary
- Preparations for General Montgomery’s offensive. Italians and Germans defend their positions against assault by British and French. Tripoli Harbour - new supplies for Eighth Army - tanks, which Montgomery inspects. The tanks set out for the front. Landmines are unloaded; small arms, ammunition and hand grenades as well as petrol arrive. Fouin Tatouine: French Government welcomes troops. An unsuccessful enemy attack is repelled by the Eighth Army - thanks to guns etc provided by factory workers.
