DESCRIPTION: The recent incident on the Yangtze River which the shelling of the British Naval vessels, is pictorially described by material extracted from our library. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated GV Yangtze River. MS & CU Mao Tse-Tung. Communist leader. Nationalist troops route marching across country. Lorry loads of nationalist troops passing along countryside. Map of Yangtze with arrow pointing at Shanghai. LIBRARY - British & American warships lying off Shanghai in the Wangpu river. Chinese sampan passes up river. Wounded nationalist troops on stretcher being carried through village. MS wounded taken from "Panay" on launch. Launch approaches high reeded banks of river. Wounded being carried through reeds. Elevated GV Shanghai, good stock shot. Several shots of mass evacuation. Chinese adults and children pass through streets loaded with luggage.
