Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flight of Chinese Nationalists. DESCRIPTION: Escaping by sea from the Communist China, some remnants of Chiang Kai Shek’s Nationalist Army have been reaching Indo-China. Hundreds of other refugees have crossed the border from Tunghing and taken refuge in Mon Kay which lies across the river. SHOTLIST: KS. Two junks off river bank. Hundreds of Nationalist troops on bank of River Mon Kay. Junks off bank. Various shots of refugees camp, men, women & children, seated on ground eating etc. Troops, women & children marching & walking along road look very despondent. Various shots of camp. More shots of them trekking along roads, carrying children etc.
