- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Swaziland Festival. DESCRIPTION: Swaziland, which South Africa wishes to incorporate in the Union, is a small Protectorate between Transvaal and Natal. The people are mostly herdsmen and have recently been celebrating their great New Year Festival called Incwala. SHOTLIST: KS. Elevated GV of countryside. Native children caring the herds of cattle. Two native children on one donkey, SCU of same. SCU native child picking bark off tree & eating same. CU warrior in full regalia. CU native Princess runs from camera. CU native girl smiles. CU married native woman. Elevated GV of Royal Kraal. Paramount Chief’s wives enter Kraal, several shots. Princesses walk single file across Royal Kraal. Warriors in full regalia assemble. Resident (white) Commissioner escorted by Queen Mother walks through Kraal. GV of gathering. Large pot of beer is tasted by all present, all drink from same pot. CU warrior on hands & knees drinking from pot. Various angle shots (lenses) of warriors & native women doing traditional dances.
