- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Election Proclamation - Dissolution of Parliament. DESCRIPTION: When the City of London’s Common arrive at the Royal Exchange, there was a crowd of about two thousand to hear him read the proclamation before the General Election. SHOTLIST: KS. Tilt down Royal Exchange in scaffolding. Common Crier walks towards Royal Exchange through crowds. SCU & CU Crier reading proclamation. Cut-in of crowds listening, the actual proclamation being posted up outside Westminster City Hall, outside St James’s Palace, Mansion House, people reading proclamation, with sentries outside St James with proclamation in background pasted on wall. Elevated GV of Houses of Parliament, shot from Big Ben.
