Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Goodbye to the Aquitania. DESCRIPTION: The 36 year old Cunard White Star Liner Aquitania has come to the end of her career, at Southampton the house flags are hauled down for the last time and Captain Woollatt says goodbye to the members of the crew. SHOTLIST: KS. GV "Aquitania". CU house flags at hoist. GV deck. Interior - smoking room & lounge. Sailors strikes bell. Sailors sounds (trumpet) "Last Post" (silent) while the house flag is being lowered. Captain Woollatt says goodbye to several of the crew. GV of the "Aquitania" pulling away from quayside assisted by tugs.
