MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Amateurs Grand National. DESCRIPTION: The National Hunt Steeplechase at Cheltenham was won by Ellesmere from Tiberdon with Laurentum’s Pride third. Ellesmere, the favourite, who is a full-brother to Roimond won by five lengths. SHOTLIST: KS. GV crowds & stands. Various crowd scenes, in fine weather. Horse in paddock parading. Cut-ins close-ups of horses. Elevated GV parade along course. At starting post. Various shots of the race after start showing few left at post. Taking various jumps & several falls. Swing shot of horse going out into country with beautiful country background. Several fall at water jump. Elevated GV run-in shows "Ellesmere" followed by "Tiberdon" & "Laurentum’s Pride".
