- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Boxing - Amateurs at Wembley & Turpin Beaten By Finch. DESCRIPTION: AMATEURS AT WEMBLEY - The featherweight final of the ABA Championships was won by Peter Brander (Slough) when he defeated Percy Lewis of the RAF. The light-heavyweight final was won by Masservy of the Royal Navy. TURPIN V FINCH - Dick Turpin (Leamington) met Albert Finch (Croydon) at Nottingham for the Middleweight Championship of Great Britain and the Lonsdale Belt. Turpin, the holder, looked as if he was going to retain the title but Finch made an astonishing come-back in the last round and got the verdict. SHOTLIST: KS. Turpin entering ring.
