MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Highlands Come to London, (Caledonian Games). DESCRIPTION: The London Caledonian Games at the White City, included all the events typical of Highland Games - Tossing the Caber, Tug-of-War, Highland Dancing and Athletics. In the 220 yards MacDonald Bailey won in 21.1 seconds, the fastest time clocked in Britain, but as a record it required confirmation. SHOTLIST: KS. MS pipers parading on ground. Several shots of pipers. Competitors tossing the caber, one falls backwards. Start of 220 yards. MacDonald Bailey running & winning in unconfirmed record time. Various shots of Highland dancing. Small children dancing. CU of her. CU piper. Child starts to cry, mother takes her off stage.
