- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Derby - 1950. DESCRIPTION: Movietone presents the World’s greatest racing classic run at Epsom Downs. Galcador made a great run in the finishing straight to take the race from the favorite Prince Simon. SHOTLIST: KS. GV Epsom back in the nineteenth century mix to present day. Crowds shots, cloudy & rainy. Enormous crowds. Elevated GV car parks crowded. Arrival of the King, Queen, Princess Elizabeth, Margaret, Gloucester & Princess Royal. Duke of Gloucester, Queen Mary & Duchess of Kent. Shot of Queen with heavily pregnant Princess Elizabeth. Various shots of fashion, men in toppers. Paddock scenes.
