Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rowing - Henley Finals. DESCRIPTION: Henley Royal Regatta was well attended for the finals. The weather was kind, and everyone enjoyed themselves, ashore and afloat. Overseas oarsmen carried off most of the trophies, Harvard University winning the Grand Challenge Cup. One British victory was in the Diamond Skulls, Rowe of Leander winning by three lengths from van Mesdag, the Dutch undergraduate from Trinity College Dublin. SHOTLIST: KS. Various shots of River Thames at Henley - scenic, shot of tea lawn. MCU women lighting cigarette. Shots of Grand Challenge Cup between a student eight from Holland and Harvard who win. Rowing races in progress. People in punts. Shots of the Diamond Sculls in progress, won by British Rowe of Leander.
