Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Movietone Glides. DESCRIPTION: At Campbell, Great Hucklow, Derbyshire, the British Gliding Association has been holding a series of national contests. Mr Philip Wills, British Champion, won the race to Boston, Lincolnshire (73 miles away) in 2 hours 3 minutes. Movietone in the shape of cameraman David Samuelson, also sent soaring aloft. SHOTLIST: KS. MS several gliders on ground. SCU gliders taking off & panning. Philip Wills adjusts his spats. Wills in glider. Wife hands him barograph. Wills takes off in flight. Cut to winch working. Several shots of gliders in the air. Samuelson climbs in glider & using Eyemo camera. Shooting from gliders as it takes off & shots of the countryside from glider while in flight. Shot from ground of several gliders overhead. POV from gliders.
