DESCRIPTION: The Irish Mail from Holyhead to Euston becomes a mass of distorted wreckage when it ran into another locomotive near Penmaenmawr, North Wales. Considering the large number of passengers aboard which amounted to 520, the casualty list was very light. SHOTLIST: KS MS wreckage of carriage. Various shots of wrecked train, carriages strewn about. Men burning with electric burners. Stretchers carried away. Elevated GV of wrecked train. CU name of station Penmaenmawr.
