Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rugby - England V France. DESCRIPTION: France’s rugger victory over England was the first they’d won at Twickenham in forty years. England, who only had thirteen men on the field for one period, could not hold the speedy Frenchmen who won by eleven points to three. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS teams standing to attention on pitch. Ditto - closer shot. Crowd shots. General play, ball going from one end to the other. England tackle & Hardy passes to Boobbyer who goes over for a try. Crowds cheering. Rittson-Thomas limps off field. France attack & Basquet pushes himself for a try. Prat converts. General play. Prat goes over for a try. Prat drops a goal making a victory of 11 - 3. Cut-ins cheering crowds.
