- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sidelights on Re-Armaments. DESCRIPTION: A factory in Washington is now going at full blast, forging big guns for the American Navy. Further evidence of the defensive preparations of the Western World comes from a French arsenal. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV smelting shop. Washington - Several shots of molten metal being poured into ladle. Various shots of the barrels of Naval guns under construction. Large crane lifts white hot barrel of gun from furnace. Same comes under pressure from steam hammer. Several SCU & CU of mirrors inside barrel of gun during the inspecting of the gun rifling. In France - Several shots of new type mortar being fired. French 75 being fired - no recoil. Bazooka being fired at tank moving. Anti-tank rifle-grenades aimed at stationary tank, & explosion of same.
