MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Racegoers See ‘Manicou’ Beaten. DESCRIPTION: On Easter Monday, Kempton Park was honoured by the presence of the King and Queen, who were accompanied by Princess Margaret. The Royal party had come to watch the Queen’s steeplechaser, Manicou. SHOTLIST: TS looking down on crowd. TS King, Queen and Princess Margaret walking through crowd. MS Their Majesties & Princess. TS paddock. MS Manicou led in paddock. CU ER on horse blanket. MCU crowd with two little girls in front, adults with binoculars behind. LS start of race - the Walter Hyde Steeplechase - GV horses over water jump. MS crowd. GV pan with Manicou in race. GV crowd two ladies in fur coats in foreground.
