Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cycle Tour of Britain. DESCRIPTION: Forty-nine cyclists got away on the first lap of a 14-day race (organised by the Daily Express) over 1,500 miles. Their first lap took them to Brighton. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Cyclists assembled Hyde Park. Cyclists assembled in Hyde Park & setting off for Farnborough, Kent, cyclists start race. Various trucking shots, along road. Passing through Robertsbridge. Cyclists taking food from pedestrians en route to Brighton. Passing along sea front of Seaford. Along Brighton front & over finishing line. Gabriel Audemard, the winner of the first lap.
