- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Greenland Expedition Home. DESCRIPTION: An RAF Sunderland, which had taken an exploration party to Greenland, took off from Pembroke Dock to bring them home again. The whole expedition, a scientific reconnaissance, had proved a great success. SHOTLIST: RAF Sunderland takes off from Pembroke Dock for Greenland. Flight over Irish Coast and onto Greenland. Stop at Icelandic Capital Reykjavik. Plane continues journey flying through heavy winds. Another stop at Ella Island. RAF crew meet Danes. Plane flying over glaciers and ice capped mountains. Good scenic material. Land on Seal Lake to pick up explorers. Shots of camp of explorers. Tens etc. Commander Simpson and explorers run to meet crew. Return journey and landing at Pembroke Dock.
