DESCRIPTION: Preparations for the famous Blackpool Illuminations mean a lot of work and seventy-five miles of cable and wiring and three hundred thousand lamps go into the show, which was given its kick-off, so to speak, by Stan Matthews. SHOTLIST: Preparations going on for the lighting up of Blackpool’s famous Illuminations. Workmen fixing wire and bulbs etc. Stan Matthews switches on the lights. Various shots of the illuminations.
