DESCRIPTION: Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh were welcomed in Washington by President Truman when they arrived for their short visit to the United States. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Princess Elizabeth’s Coat of Arms. C5 plane lands & taxies, Princess Elizabeth alights followed by Duke of Edinburgh. Greeted by Mr Truman, Mrs Truman & Margaret Truman. Princess & Truman walk to dais. Truman presents Princess Elizabeth in short speech. Princess Elizabeth - CU replies. Armed Forces saluting. Princess & Truman walk to car, entering car. In rear car, Duke, Mrs & Margaret Truman. Out of camera, preceded by ‘V’ shape motor cycle escort, drive through city, crowds waving, various shots. Interior - Statler Hotel, Princess in a cocktail dress holds press & journalist meeting. Princess addresses meeting. Walk through people stopping & talking (silent) to some.
