Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: London’s Last Tram - Farewell. DESCRIPTION: Astonishing scenes accompanied the final journey of the very last tram. It was driven by Mr Cliff, Deputy Chairman of the LTE, and the official valediction was pronounced by the LTE Chairman, Lord Latham. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Night - traffic including trams passing over Westminster Bridge. Ditto, several shots. Last tram leaves Abbey Wood, various shots en route of crowds. Arrival at New Cross Depot. Inside, Lord Latham makes short speech. Crowds swarming everywhere all over the tram etc. Crowd sing Auld Lang Syne.
