DESCRIPTION: Somewhere in the Arctic, the United States Coast Guard Ice-breaker Eastwind was recently forced northwards by an ice pack to within 442 nautical miles of the North Pole. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS of the ice-breaker, Eastwind. Various shots of the ship making its way through picturesque ice floes, also caught in ice packs. Helicopter takes off from ship, aerial of the icy land, shows how the ship is caught by the ice. Various close-ups of the cracking ice-bergs.
