Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: First Pictures of Assassination of King Alexander. DESCRIPTION: Sub 1. King Alexander is borne home on last voyage to Yugoslavia. SHOTLIST: Yugoslavian cruiser coming into anchor at Marseille. French officials go aboard and greet the King. The launch is boarded and steams through the harbour. M Barthou the French Foreign Minister greets the King. They enter car. CU together. Car drives off. General scenes of the Assassination. Crowds and the dead King is seen lying back in the car and being tended. Shots of chaos and uproar. The Crowd grab the assassin. Shots of the struggle and police. Car with the dying King moves off. Sub 1. Horse arriving at the quay. Coffin carried to ship. Queen Marie on board. She makes sign of the cross as the coffin passes. Marchpast of French troops. The cruiser leaves the harbour.
