MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Churchill’s 78th Birthday. DESCRIPTION: Presents, tributes and telegrams came in a steady flow to No 10 on Mr Churchill’s birthday. The people waiting in Downing Street saw Mr & Mrs Churchill leave - and the Premier was prepared for the cold weather. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Shot of birthday cake. CU of chef putting finishing touches to cake. No 10 people arriving with presents etc. Crowds outside. Churchill and wife come, former in newest fur coat. Car drives away. Good scenes - Several shots of No 10. Small crowds in Downing Street. Mr Churchill getting into car. Mr & Mrs Churchill pose on step, former in ordinary overcoat.
