Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Tree-Felling Method. DESCRIPTION: The Australians have been using a steel ball, nine feet in diameter and eight tons in weight, to clear a site for a new pine forest plantation in Victoria. Two bull-dozers tow the ball on heavy chains, which smash down everything in their path, even up-rooting trees. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU Ball (iron) fade out to nut being tightened on same. Various shots of the huge iron ball being towed through forest land, & uprooting all before it.
