- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Knock Hard Wins Gold Cup. DESCRIPTION: In spite of cold weather at Cheltenham for the National Hunt Meeting, there was a very big crowd on Gold Cup Day - largely due, no doubt, to the attendance of the Queen and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The three miles two furlongs race, over twenty-four jumps, was won by Knock Hard ridden by Tim Moloney. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Grandstand. GV crowds, grandstand, Queen walks through with Lord Willoughby de Broke, also Queen Mother. Horses parade in paddock. Walk down to the start. Start of race. Horses over various jumps, falls etc. Knock Hard winning, passing post, Tim Moloney the jockey.
