MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Inter-City ‘Varsity Boat Race. DESCRIPTION: Crews from London, Paris and Brussels Universities competed for the Brussels Treaty Organisation Cup over a course of just over a mile - from Mortlake to Kew. London University (winners last year) won by a length and a half from Paris University. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Boat being carried out. Crews carrying out boats, London, Paris & Brussels mixing with one another. Crew pick up oars. Cox of Brussels crew - Anne Marie van Ginneken. Start of race, various shots from river during race.
