Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coronation Preparations. DESCRIPTION: At Imber Court, Police Horses are prepared for their duties at the Coronation. With bells and other noisy instruments in the hands of the policemen, the horses get used to the familiar sounds of a procession. In Ottawa, final rehearsals and inspections for the famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who’ll be coming over. Also in Ottawa, wearing full dress uniform, the four-man mounted escort for the Queen. Now to Sydney, where 25 members of the Royal Papuan and New Guinea Constabulary paraded, before leaving for Britain. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Police horses into camera. Various shots of police horses at Imber Court being trained to stand the noises, bells, rattles etc. In Ottawa, Mountie police practice for Coronation, also doing the musical ride, etc. Also 4-man Queen’s escort, in full uniform ride through city. In Sydney, Australia, Papuan & New Guinea Constabulary march through streets en route to London. Lay wreath at Cenotaph. CU types. Also men shouldering arms.
