- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Nepal and India Greet Everest Victors. DESCRIPTION: Katmandu, the Nepalese capital, staged an official reception for the British Everest Expedition - some of their equipment was on view to the public there. Later, they flew to Delhi, where a huge throng mobbed them and their plane on the Willingdon Airfield. After their landing, presents and awards were handed over. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Crowds. At Katmandu, platform erected. CU replica of Everest on platform. Equipment used by climbers displayed, tents, breathing apparatus. Crowds. Sherpa Tensing Hillary & Hunt. At New Delhi, plane taxies, crowds on Willingdon Airport. Mrs Hunt garlanded. Mrs Tensing garlanded. Colonel Hunt receives model of Asoka Pillar. Hillary & Tensing receives silver replicas of Mount Everest.
