Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Princess Marina Greeted in Britain. DESCRIPTION: Princess Marina and her parents arrive at Dover to be greeted by her fiancé. The party then travel on to London by train, where the King and Queen welcome them at Victoria Station. SHOTLIST: Shot of the channel steamer "Canterbury" coming in at Dover. Elevated shot of Prince George, Lord Reading, and others wait on the quayside. Shot of the ship pulling alongside and Princess Marina is seen standing with her parents. Shot of the gangway being lowered. Princess Marina follows her mother down the gangway. The Duke kisses Princess Nicholas, and Princess Marina. He welcomes the sister of the Princess also. The party proceed to the train. Good shots of London fog. The embankment lights glisten in the River and people are seen dimly in the fog. The King and Queen at Victoria Station. Princess Nicholas, Princess Marina and Princess Paul alight. They are welcomed by the King and Queen. Shot of the family groups on the platform including the Duke and Duchess of York and the Prince of Wales.
