DESCRIPTION: In spite of very rough going in the back blocks, seventy cars out of a hundred and eighty-six starters completed the round-Australia reliability trial - a distance of 6,500 miles. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU car wheel. Shots of car racing through rough country, through small woods and over fields. Car twisting and turning. CU of wheels of car over rough ground. Car forges river. Cars along road to finishing line. CU winner Mr Ken Tubman. Route was Sydney to Brisbane and Darwin back via Adelaide, Melbourne to Sydney 6,500 miles.
