MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Duke in Yorkshire. DESCRIPTION: During his recent visit to Yorkshire, the Duke of Edinburgh opened the £500,000 laboratories of the British Iron and Steel Research Association. He also visited one of Yorkshire’s biggest collieries at Doncaster. SHOTLIST: Cut story - The Duke arrives at the new laboratories of the British Iron & Steel Research Association. Elevated GV of laboratories. SCU Duke. Various scenes of the Duke inspecting controls, equipment etc. At Doncaster the Duke visits coal mine. The Duke dons miners kit and walks to coal mine shaft. Miner frisks Duke for lighters, matches or cigarettes. All around think it a great joke, all laughing including the Duke.
