Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Nijmegen Anniversary. DESCRIPTION: War-time pictures, taken ten years ago recall the great and gallant attack by British forces at Arnhem which helped the great Rhine crossing and the taking of Nijmegen Bridge. At this year’s anniversary at Nijmegen, a statue representing a member of the Dutch Resistance was unveiled. Grenadier and Coldstream Guards marched past after the memorial ceremony. SHOTLIST: Scenes of airborne troops landing. Gliders landing. CU of troops. Firing a mortar. Tanks crossing the Bridge. The unveiling of the monument.
