- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle Royal. DESCRIPTION: General Gruenther, Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, used a helicopter to pay flying visits to front line troops in the recent Exercise Battle Royal. Observers of 14 NATO countries witnessed this, the largest manoeuvres ever held this side of the Iron Curtain. SHOTLIST: Various shots of tanks on the move. General Gruenther climbs into a helicopter and flies off. Troops withdrawing. Carrying various weapons. Climbing under barbed wire. Various shots of mock atomic shells exploding.
