- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour of Lancashire. DESCRIPTION: The Earl of Derby, Lord Lieutenant of the County, was in Wigan to greet Her Majesty and the Duke at the beginning of their two day visit to Lancashire. SHOTLIST: Crowds lining the street of Wigan, waving flags. Queen Elizabeth alights from the train and is greeted by the Earl of Derby. Queen and Duke arriving at the Mining and Technical College for the opening of the John McCurdy Hall. LS of children waving flags. TPS of the Hall. Queen with the Mayor of Wigan.
