Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Opening House of Representatives in Lagos. DESCRIPTION: In Lagos, the first session of the New House of Representatives has been opened by the Governor-General, Sir John Stuart-MacPherson. SHOTLIST: The members assembled outside the House of Representatives in Lagos in ceremonial costume. The Governor General then seen inspecting the guard of honour. The he proceeds into the entrance of the House. Now an interior shot of the assembly and the Governor General takes his seat and the proceedings begin.
