MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth Has Stabilisers Installed. DESCRIPTION: During her annual overhaul in dry dock at Southampton, the Queen Elizabeth is being fitted with stabiliser fins to prevent rolling in heavy weather. SHOTLIST: KS The stern of the QE in dry dock. GV of the stern of the QE in dry dock. GV the bows of the QE in dry dock. GV the props being cleaned. GV the chains for the huge anchors (the camera pans down the bows). CU the anchors. Interiors of the compartment in which the 80 hp electric motors are housed, which operate the stabilisers. A shot looking down at the stabilisers themselves being lowered into position.
