MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: West German Sovereignty & German Flag Hoisted at Shape. DESCRIPTION: Border police formed the Guard at Bonn, when Dr Adenauer performed the flag hoisting ceremony that marked the restoration of West German sovereignty. At SHAPE headquarters, NATO flags now had one added to their number, the raising of which was witnessed by General Gruenther and Germany’s General Speidel.
