Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Return of HMS Vidal From Rockall. DESCRIPTION: The survey ship HMS Vidal was the vessel entrusted with the task of taking possession of Rockall. The landing party composed of Royal Naval and Royal Marine personnel. It was carried out, the modern way - by helicopter. SHOTLIST: LS HMS Vidal. CU Vidal nameplate. CU landing party on deck. SCU helicopter anchored to deck. CU Commander Connell speaking into the microphone. LS Rockall islet. SCU RM sergeant getting into halter and being lifted by helicopter.
