Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cyprus Outrage - Shooting and Bomb Outrage. DESCRIPTION: Violence in Cyprus, an attack on the home of the Chief of the Auxiliary Police. In Ledra Street, after a terrorist outrage where Cypriots shot two British soldiers, killing one. SHOTLIST: GVs streets of Nicosia. CU Sir Austin Chamberlain and his son examine bomb damage on their porch. SCU British troops jump down from lorry and run to scene of terrorist attack. CU shattered shop window. CU RAF officer in civvies, he shot and wounded a terrorist. CU soldier’s wife (Mrs Goulder) gives evidence to police officers. CU wounded terrorist is carried away. GVs crowds in the street. CU troops with riot shields march through streets.
