- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Queen Arrives in Nigeria. DESCRIPTION: Thousands of Nigerians had gathered in Lagos to rehearse their welcome for Her Majesty and the Duke. At the airport, a reception committee of Civic Leaders and a Guard of Honour were among the first to see the Argonaut touch down, right on schedule. SHOTLIST: Street scenes, crowds etc. Palm trees SCU. Market scenes. CU Propellor (Airport). Guard of Honour of Nigeria Regiment. Minister of Labour. The Argonaut - Atlanta taxies in. Queen and Duke leave plane (down steps). Greeted by Sir James Robertson and Lady Robertson. Nigeria Regiment - Guard of Honour. CU Nigerian crowds waving. Car drives off Queen and Duke, waving. Municipal boundary. Oba Adele and Queen shake hands. Bouquet presented by 4 year old Foloshade Lawson, daughter of the Chairman of the Council. SCU Queen listening to speech. CU decorations. Long may she reign.
