Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Big Freeze Up. DESCRIPTION: Snow ploughs have been trying to keep highways clear during the arctic blizzards, sweeping over Britain. In London, the cooling towers of Willesden Power Station have suffered the fate of many a domestic water system. Trafalgar Square at 12 degrees below freezing point. Eros in icicles proves that even loves grow cold. At the Zoo, polar bears keep warm in hearth rugs, penguins dress for dinner whatever the weather.
