MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Games Highlights. DESCRIPTION: The big race on the first day of the British Games was fifteen hundred metres, which was won by Ken Wood, in three minutes, forty three point four. The chief highlight of Whit Monday was the three thousand metres. This was won by Hungarian star Iharos, in eight minutes two point six. SHOTLIST: First big race of the day was the 1500 metres. Crowd shots. Starter. SCU with pistol. Gordon Pirie takes lead. Ken Wood streaks ahead. SCU Wood, Tabori. Ken Wood won the race. Then the 3,000 metres race. SCU starter with pistol. No 4 Iharos passes tape.
