Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Shepilov Arrives in Cairo. DESCRIPTION: Russia’s new Foreign Minister, Mr Shepilov (appointed in place of Mr Molotov) lost no time in taking a personal part in Middle East affairs. His visit to Cairo was the first he’d made outside Russia since his appointment, and he was soon engaged in talks with President Nasser. SHOTLIST: Mr Shepilov down steps of plane and is greeted by Dr Mahmud Fawzy (Egyptian Foreign Minister) and Mr Kisselev (Soviet Ambassador in Cairo). Shot of the guard of honour.
