MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Military Athletics. DESCRIPTION: The International Military Sports in Berlin. In the hundred and ten metres hurdles, Pratt of the United States Army, finished in record time for the meeting. The outstanding achievement was Willie Williams new 100 metres world record - in 10.1 seconds. SHOTLIST: Start of the 100 metres hurdles. Various shots of Pratt of USA winning. One competitor falls over at the line. Crowds. Pole Vault competition. Pakistan competitor runs up to the line and attempts to jump but the pole breaks and he lands awkwardly. Competitor being given treatment. 100 metres flat race. Various shots of the race. Willie Williams wins breaking the world record (10.1). Crowds. Williams being congratulated by a team mate.
