- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Troops Airlift to Canal Zone. DESCRIPTION: A number of Britannias were recently made ready as troop transports for the Mediterranean airlift. Infantrymen went aboard Britannias at Hurn Airport, were the first British troops to be flown overseas in the luxurious comfort of a turbo-prop airliner. SHOTLIST: TPS of a Britannia in a hangar. CU Britannia nameplate. Men bringing out single seats and then carrying up seats which hold 3 passengers. Men fitting seats and fitting covers onto the luggage rack.
