- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Arab Protest - (General Strike). DESCRIPTION: Cairo’s protest (against the Suez Conference, in London) was a general strike. In Lebanon the Arab population protested - large crowds paraded through the streets of big cities, carrying and shouting slogans, in support of Egypt’s attitude. SHOTLIST: Various street scenes of Cairo. Several shots of buses in a line at the side of the road. Various shots of closed shop and stationary trams.
