Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Logger Men’s Holiday. DESCRIPTION: A lumberjack’s picnic on Vancouver Island, a highlight was the rigger’s contest and Jimmy Dunlap of Oregon was the Champion tall Timberman. Up and down the 85 ft trunk in 37 seconds. SHOTLIST: Various shots of two men standing on log in the water running on it (called log burling). Man falls into the water. Various shots of lumberjack sawing tree with chain-saw and various shots of lumberjack sawing with a hand saw. Three men jousting on a rolling log in the water. Two men fall in. Shots of the jousting. Man falls in. High riggers contest. Jimmy Dunlap up tree. Crowd watching. Jimmy reaches top and then comes down. (Goes up and down the 85 ft tree in 37 seconds).
