Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Exhibition of British Military Vehicles. DESCRIPTION: Britain’s latest military vehicles, often incorporate ideas, suitable for civilian use. Representatives from many lands were invited to a demonstration at Chertsey. SHOTLIST: Scenes of vehicles entering the wading pit including jeep, which becomes totally submerged, only long exhaust pipe showing above water. A Centurion Mark III tank entering pit. Centurion tank on the test slope which is a 30 degree gradient. Centurion tank leaving wading pit, showing its sides collapsed, allowing it to become a fully fitted fighting vehicle. Soldiers watching demonstration. Naval officer watching demonstration. Jeep in wading pit with men wearing frogman’s equipment. Jeep underwater. Jeep out of water minus 1 frogman.
