- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Report From Hungary. DESCRIPTION: From points on the Austrian frontier the first film stories have come out of Hungary. There has been a constant flow, with emphasis on medical supplies of all kinds being taken across the border. Casualties have been heavy and many countries are sending help for the wounded. In the town of Gyoer, one of the just actions of Hungarian patriots, was to go to the local gaol and release political prisoners. A few lives were lost during the operation, but the Communist guards were routed, and the prison itself ransacked. SHOTLIST: Night shots of Austrian frontier. Cars coming through border. Ambulances, lorries loading with medical supplies, bottles of blood etc. Border scene of car going through (cameramen). People looking into car, waving etc. Shots of jail in Gyoer.
